Written based on the life of a real herd of horses in Ukraine.
The Adventures of Sage, the Hutsul Horse, is a book written on the slopes of the green Carpathian Mountains, with the murmur of the mountain streams and fragrance of the meadow flowers. Inspired by the landscapes of the steppes, the authors created a story about those who have been stewards of the mountains and helping people since ancient times. 
The heroes of the adventure are the Hutsul Horses, who have been living freely in a herd for many years in the wild natural setting of the Carpathian Mountains (Ukraine). The herd is cared for and observed by the Polonyn Ranch. Having observed the herd for a long time, the authors’ intention is to convey their knowledge in a format that is accessible and understandable for children.  
 
Just as each individual in human society is endowed with its own inherent characteristics, preferences, and capabilities, similarly every horse hero described in the book has a prototype in the herd. The authors are sure that young readers will be interested in to learn about what the little horses are talking about, how they live, what they enjoy. Thus we invite children to the pages of the exciting adventures of Sage and his friends.
